The Northshore Emergency Management Coalition (NEMCo) coordinates mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities for partner agencies to minimize the impact of disasters and emergencies on the people, property, environment, and economy of the Lake Forest Park and Kenmore region.
NEMCo, its partners, and other regional stakeholders must be ready to prevent, mitigate, respond to, and recover from all threats and hazards that may adversely impact our area. Our emergency management programs must become more resilient and be focused on increasing the ability to coordinate resources and response efforts, supporting the whole community following any natural or human-caused event. We will achieve this by ensuring the implementation and maintenance of emergency management programs that develop fundamental incident management capabilities while also leveraging current and emerging technology to provide efficient response management throughout the region. NEMCo’s emergency management programs will support the coordination of thoroughly reviewed emergency management plans, a well-trained and resilient workforce across all partners agencies, an engaged and active volunteer corps, as well as an informed and involved network of regional community members and stakeholders.
