Obtaining training is one of the key steps you can take to be more prepared for disasters. Below is a listing of upcoming classes and events.
Note: * Scholarships are available upon request. Course costs are for manuals. CERT costs include a backpack and some materials.

March 2020 CERT Academy class
Registration started February 1, 2020. Course is 21 hours of instructions. Course fee: $35. Scholarships are available upon request.
March 20 (6:30 pm-9:30 pm)
March 21 (9:00 am-4:00 pm)
March 22 (9:00 am-4:00 pm), and
March 28 (9:00 am-1:00 pm)
Types of Classes Offered

Stop the Bleed is a 2.5-hour course that teaches basic life-saving medical interventions, including a brief Active Shooter preparedness presentation and methods to control bleeding.
A.C.T. To Save a Life training is a one hour first aid class that focuses on three skills you can use to save a life in the first few minutes of an emergency :
Antidote for suspected opiate overdoses.
CPR and AED training for cardiac arrest.
Tourniquet for severe bleeding control.
Disaster Preparedness is a four-hour workshop featuring instruction in personal/family preparedness.
CERT training educates individuals about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
Amateur radio license course prepares individuals for the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Technician Class License examination.
CERT Eastside Coalition - King County
NEMCo is an active member of the cooperative group of CERT leaders who strive to share best practices and better allocate resources within the Eastside communities of King County, WA.
If you are looking for CERT training closer to your community or need to make-up a missed NEMCo CERT class to get certified you can find more information by reviewing the Eastside Coalition web site.
Use this form if you need to make-up a NEMCo CERT class and attend a session held by another city. This will ensure you get credit for the class. If you have any questions, ask your instructor.
